Hanoi will benefit from a new bridge and highway. Spanning the Red River, the Tu Lien Bridge and connecting highway will boost transport for Hanoi, helping to reduce the city’s chronic congestion.
The bridge will measure 2.9km long while the highway will be 11.5km in length. The new transport link will connect to the Hanoi-Thai Nguyen Expressway.
The project will be carried out under the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) model. A pre-feasibility study is due in early 2025.
There are nine existing bridges spanning the Red River with a further nine bridges being planned.
