The ‘i’ in the name stands for intelligent emission control and reflects the fact that these machines are powered by a future-proof internal combustion engine with ‘Tier 4’ technology.

The frame construction and engine cover design provides an unobstructed view of the surface to be compacted. The operator spends his working day in an ergonomically designed environment, including a fully adjustable seat, providing the ideal working position whatever the size.

    Cat has revised its asphalt compactor range with Stage IIIb engines, revised drum options and a new cab layout. The changes also bring an all-new model – the CD44B – in the seven/eight tonne class, taking the model count to four.
