Gulf Traffic 2016 event is looking strong

The organisers of the Gulf Traffic 2016 conference being held in Dubai from November 13th-15th report strong interest in the event. The organisers of the 224 Gulf Traffic 2016 conference being held in Dubai from November 13th-15th report strong interest in the event. This will be held in the Dubai International Exhibition Centre and according to the organisers, aims to be the region’s leading traffic and transportation event, with a particular focus on smart cities, ITS, parking and infrastructure. The conference provides a yearly platform for innovative thought-leaders to convene in a high-level discussion on the future of traffic in the region, according to the show organisers.

The event is timely as the region is seeing major infrastructure developments, which will also be reflected in the presentations at the conference. The new US$571 million Dubai-Abu Dhabi highway is set to open by the end of 2016, while the UAE is developing its toll road network. Meanwhile Dubai says it intends to invest some $1 billion in developing its road network as part of its plan to improve transportation and develop its growth plans.

A wide range of companies made up of key industry players from transport infrastructure, ITS and road safety equipment providers will also be present at the exhibition section of the event. And the conference also includes the Gulf Traffic Awards, which is said to be an integral part of the event and entry has now been opened for submissions according to the organisers.
