The event is timely as the region is seeing major infrastructure developments, which will also be reflected in the presentations at the conference. The new US$571 million Dubai-Abu Dhabi highway is set to open by the end of 2016, while the UAE is developing its toll road network. A wide range of companies made up of key industry players from transport infrastructure, ITS and road safety equipment providers will also be present at the exhibition section of the event. And the conference also includes the Gulf Traffic Awards, which is said to be an integral part of the event and entry has now been opened for submissions according to the organisers.
