Growth in Italy's construction machines market

Production output grew 5% in 2010 according to Italy’s construction equipment manufacturing association, 2539 Unacea.
The provisional data suggested that this business segment was worth nearly €2 billion, 53% of which was from the production of earthmoving machines and 47% to other construction machines.
Italy’s construction equipment output was halved in 2009 compared with the previous year but grew 16% in 2010. Machine exports hit 65% in 2010, compared to 55% in 2009.
Italy’s home market remains stagnant and exports have been a key to the sector’s resurgence but there are concerns, particularly with the current instability in North Africa, which has been a strong market for Italian manufacturers in recent years.

    According to the Construction Equipment Association (CEA), UK exports of construction and earthmoving equipment remain healthy. The figures show that sales continued on a strong upward trend in the last quarter of 2017, showing growth for the fifth consecutive quarter.
