GOMACO has developed a sophisticated new paving control
The G+ Connect is 218 Gomaco’s latest proprietary CAN-based network products allowing fast, two-way communication between all accessories and the G+ controller. This closed-loop control system for the electronics and hydraulics links the paver’s valves and various sensors and delivers high accuracy. The system is said to allow tighter, faster, and more accurate machine corrections and improves communications between components for precision setup and paving. The G+ Connect uses the G+ control system and GOMACO’s new paving software. The system includes leg positioning, paving speed and percentage of drive, steering, travel information, grade information and deviation meters and also offers a detailed fault history. The system allows all the components of a GOMACO paver to be interfaced, including 3D stringless control, IDBI, tie bar inserter (TBI), power transition adjustors and GOMACO Smoothness Indicator (GSI) for example. The software has been developed in-house by GOMACO’s own control specialists. The system is now offered on the firm’s 2800 paver as well as other models in the range.
