The German province of Baden- Württemberg has issued a list of 20 ready to be built federal trunk road projects worth a combined US$1.01billion (€800mn).The first five could be started in 2014 and the next five in 2015 or 2016.
The Russian Government has set a budget of US$1.11 billion which it is allocating for a series of road construction projects in its regions. This federally funded budget for road construction in Russia’s regions in 2015 does represent an increase from the previous year’s spending. The authorities in Qinghai Province have set out a budget of US$28.97 billion for a series of road upgrades to improve the network, which will be carried out over the next five years. The province has already embarked on a series of road upgrades and by 2020, the aim is to boost the road network by 10,000km.
