French motorway operators to take on maintenance and renovation?

To generate savings on motorways Transport Minister, Frédéric Cuvillier, may ask the three largest operators (Vinci Autoroutes, APRR, Sanef-SAPN) to take on maintenance and renovation spending on certain sections in exchange for concession extensions. Motorways in Ile-de-France and stretches of motorways around Paris (A6, A10 and A13) could be among the first to be subject to the new maintenance and renovation arrangements. Negotiations will start with ASFA (Association des Société Françaises d'Autoroutes).

To generate savings on motorways Transport Minister, Frédéric Cuvillier, may ask the three largest operators (6531 Vinci Autoroutes, 6532 APRR, 6533 Sanef-SAPN) to take on maintenance and renovation spending on certain sections in exchange for concession extensions.

Motorways in Ile-de-France and stretches of motorways around Paris (A6, A10 and A13) could be among the first to be subject to the new maintenance and renovation arrangements.

Negotiations will start with ASFA (6534 Association des Société Françaises d'Autoroutes). Pierre Berger, managing director of 5871 Eiffage (APRR network), has already said that he was ready to take on the renovation of roadways on part of the A6 near Paris.
