French highway package

A new PPP deal has been signed in France for the financing, design, construction, service and maintenance on a 15-year land-use bypass road southwest of Vichy.

A new PPP deal has been signed in France for the financing, design, construction, service and maintenance on a 15-year land-use bypass road southwest of Vichy. The agreement was signed by various bodies including 184 Colas Rhône-Alpes Auvergne, 3470 DTP Earthworks, 979 Bouygues Travaux Publics Regions France and SEIEF/CSO EPI2 and Investment. The project will be done by a construction consortium comprising Colas Rhône-Alpes Auvergne, agent (34%), Bouygues Travaux Publics Regions France (33%) and DTP Earthwork (33%). The work is for an 18km,two-lane road over a length and will include 16 roadside works of art and is worth some €54 million. The project is expected to commence in March 2012 and will last 18 months. The 15 year maintenance deal will be carried out by Colas Rhône-Alpes Auvergne for pavements and road equipment, and Regions in France Bouygues Travaux Publics for works of art.

    Nicaragua’s Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has awarded the first of a series of contracts to upgrade the NIC 3 highway.
