The FIRM 13 event is attracting strong industry interest

Strong industry interest will ensure a large attendance at the FEHRL Infrastructure Research Meeting 2013 (FIRM13). This event is being held from 4-6th June 2013 at the Diamant Centre in Belgian capital Brussels. Strong industry interest will ensure a large attendance at the 5160 FEHRL Infrastructure Research Meeting 2013 (FIRM13). This event is being held from 4-6th June 2013 at the Diamant Centre in Belgian capital Brussels. This key event is gathering over 250 transport infrastructure innovation and research experts, including European and national policy makers, leading industry and standardisation agencies. The theme for FIRM13 is Advanced and Innovative Construction and Maintenance and the event will feature sessions on infrastructure innovation, implementation and maintenance. These sessions will include adaptation to climate change, knowledge transfer and asset management. The programme will also include sessions with innovation funding agencies and others, as well as a workshop on barriers to market uptake. In parallel with FIRM13, the Infravation programme is organising the first Road Infrastructure Innovation Expo. This means that during FIRM13, attendees will be able to browse the Expo and learn about innovative solutions being developed by SMEs to improve road infrastructure. Infravation will also feature as part of the FIRM13 programme.
