FCC and ACS of Spain to take part in tender for UK’s Mersey bridge project

Spanish construction companies FCC and ACS say they will take part in the tender of the US$3.05 billion (£2bn) Mersey bridge project in the UK. FCC and ACS will take part as members of two of the three consortia that have expressed an interest. FCC will take part in the tender through its German subsidiary Hochtief, and it infrastructures division Iridium, within the consortium led by BAM Nuttal of the UK. Meanwhile, ACS will be part of the Bilfinger and Macquarie consortium through its subsidiary Globalvia

Spanish construction companies 4914 FCC and 917 ACS say they will take part in the tender of the US$3.05 billion (£2bn) Mersey bridge project in the UK.

FCC and ACS will take part as members of two of the three consortia that have expressed an interest. FCC will take part in the tender through its German subsidiary 981 Hochtief, and it infrastructures division Iridium, within the consortium led by 3137 BAM Nuttall of the UK.

Meanwhile, ACS will be part of the Bilfinger and 2378 Macquarie consortium through its subsidiary 1377 Globalvia. The third consortium bidding for the contract includes 979 Bouygues of France in association with 1146 Balfour Beatty from the UK. The project involves the construction and management over 30 years of the 2.13km Mersey bridge.
