Fayat reveals Compact asphalt plant at Intermat

Fayat’s development of the Compact asphalt mixing plant is to create a continuous flow of multipurpose product, including cold, warm and hot mix. Optimum energy management for mixing aggregates in the most effective way while the bitumen is hydrophobic is one criteria that the new plant offers, along with the ability to recycle materials according to typology. 217 Fayat’s development of the Compact asphalt mixing plant is to create a continuous flow of multipurpose product, including cold, warm and hot mix.

Optimum energy management for mixing aggregates in the most effective way while the bitumen is hydrophobic is one criteria that the new plant offers, along with the ability to recycle materials according to typology.

The feed is conventional and either into the tube via the ring, or into the continuous mixer, or both, for recycled materials.

Bitumen is introduced into the Retroflux or Recyclean dryer tube, or into the mixer, far away from the flame.

Fayat said bitumen does not age prematurely because it is added to virgin aggregates or to virgin aggregates + RAP at the ideal controlled temperature.

With a direct feed into the mixer, Fayat has eliminated the risk of time lag, and guarantees correct bitumen dosage.
