The new piling clamp from French firm Fayat allows piles to be placed efficiently and accurately
2779 Fayat Group has developed the Tiltex swivelling clamp for sheet pile handling. Specifically designed for excavator-mounted Vibrodrivers, the Tiltex clamp improves the handling of sheet piles and the productivity on piling projects. Using the clamp, operators can grab sheet piles stored on the ground and drive them directly without any other handling operations. Fayat said the clamp is equally as productive when removing sheet piles.
Making its Intermat debut, Scotland-based Tata Steel last year invested €9.56million (£8million) in its specialist steels Clydebridge plant in Glasgow. The move increased the plant’s capacity for producing premium quality high-strength steel plate, essential for lifting and excavating industries, by up to 50%. Italian foundation specialist Soilmec has added two rigs to its piling range. The SF-65 replaces the previous SF-70 and answers customer requests for added versatility. The continuous flight auger (CFA) rig allows operators to drill all around the machine without having to relocate the tracks to bore at the corners as before. Powered by a 205kW diesel engine, the SF-65 can handle 1,000mm diameters to a depth of 27m.
