French firm Fayat's fast pothole patcher performs productively
The new SWIFT pothole patching machine from the 2779 Fayat Group is said to deliver fast road repairs that are long-lasting and durable. This all-in-one machine is equipped with a 2,000-litre capacity emulsion tank, a 4m3 hot-mix hopper, a pneumatic drill, a compactor, a 200litre water tank and a storage area for road signs. The firm says that the tools are easy to hold, and have been carefully positioned at the ideal height in boxes designed for this operation. All of the heavier items, such as the pneumatic drill and compactor, can be unloaded using a hoist. As a result, this versatile machine allows faster repairs of potholes, with a reduced risk of injury for personnel. And as the tools are all carried within the machine along with the necessary materials, it allows for more reliable road repairs that will be more durable.
