ESCO’s latest Nemisys wear parts have been developed for large mining excavators
Wear-part manufacturer 7160 ESCO has launched a line for mining excavators in the 300-1,000tonne sector.

Called the Nemisys lip system, the new range is available in N1, N3, N5 and N7 sizes, and includes teeth and shrouds to protect the cutting edge of large mining excavator buckets.

Shroud and adapter sides are contoured to protect the lip and adapter from excessive wear,  covering up to 77% more area on the frontal lip than the Eversharp system, said the company.

“The slim lip design and matching tooth system requires 10% less force to penetrate, while teeth have up to 19% more useable wear metal than Eversharp,” said ESCO marketing manager Rodrigo Sanchez. “Lips weigh 7% less, so operators can take advantage of additional lift capacities.”

Teeth designs include a rock point, standard point, standard wear cap point, dragline point and twin pick ‘V’. Adapters and points use the same locking mechanism and do not require specials tools, Sanchez said.
