Under the terms of the deal, Volvo Penta and Sandvik Mining and Construction have an agreement intended to boost the long-term competitiveness of Sandvik products.

Sandvik has introduced Volvo Penta engines in several models from its product lines for crushers, drilling rigs, loaders and haulers.

Installing after-treatment systems has proven to be a major issue for many equipment builders in the US and the EU but for Sandvik the process is now simplified.
