7301 Enaikoon, one of the leading telematics service providers in the world, has joined forces with electronic engineers 7302 AM Bromley.

The announcement was made on the 7277 Rema Tip Top stand at 688 Bauma. Rema Tip Top is showcasing AM Bromley’s proven OTR tyre monitoring system (TMS) and Enaikoon’s powerful tracking system.

Mandy Bromley, director at AM Bromley said, “Our TMS system offers an impressive range of sensor devices designed to keep costs low and productivity high. At a time when companies are experiencing increasing fuel costs and pressure on profits it makes sense to investigate the TMS proposition to drive efficiencies by optimising tyre, and therefore vehicle, performance.

“We are also delighted to announce our partnership with Enaikoon. Our development teams have been working together for some months now bringing together both our strengths and we will be launching our first joint offering to the market in a few weeks.”

TanGO, a new tangential oscillation system, has been launched at bauma 2013 by BOMAG. The company has reassessed many details of the well-established exciter system in terms of both technical and cost-effective aspects, and optimised it in key areas. BOMAG oscillation makes use of the physical laws of vibration generation to best effect. The careful coordination of exciter system to drum weight ratios is the basis for the tangential oscillation. The result is clearly improved power for vibration generation

    January 6, 2017
Engineering firm Ricardo is part way through a research programme to develop an advanced energy recovery system that can be integrated into an excavator’s hydraulic system. Known as the High Efficiency Excavator (HFX) project, the system uses a 5kg carbon fibre flywheel that is encased in a vacuum-sealed cartridge, which contributes to minimising friction. The flywheel is spun at speeds of up to 30,000rpm using a magnetic coupling, which is driven from a hydraulic motor. Power for the hydraulic motor comes
