Chinese firm 3484 BYD plans to introduce a 12m long electric bus. The firm claims that this is the first all-electric bus available on the world market. Called the eBUS-12, this full-sized, single-deck electric bus will be the first of a range of all-electric and hybrid buses from the firm. The vehicle is said to have a range of 250km and is being introduced in the Netherlands, however it will be available across Europe and in the firm's home country of China, with plans to introduce it in other markets in due course.
