Aimed at the medium-large capacity class, the 525 models are said to offer the best power-to-weight ratio in their class.

High lift capacity is claimed due to the use of new materials, which help boost structural strength. Sophisticated electronics help deliver precise operation as well as high operating speeds.

According to Effer, the advanced electronics used in the Progress control package maximise working efficiency.

At INTERMAT the machines are being exhibited by French Effer dealer Appydro.

There are five models in the 525 range, which weigh from 4.9-5.7tonnes. Maximum lifting capacity at maximum outreach ranges from 1.35-3.6tonnes, while maximum outreach varies from 12.5-21.7tonnes respectively.

Ammann’s new range of lightweight tandem rollers includes 13 models with operating weights from 1.2-4.5tonnes. A dedicated 4.5tonne model at the top of the range avoids the need to add ballast to smaller models to increase their operating weights. With better integration between Yanmar engine and Rexroth hydraulic system components, Ammann said the new models can operate at lower engine rpm without compromising on compaction performance. The result is improved fuel efficiency and lower working noise level
