Aimed at the medium-large capacity class, the 525 models are said to offer the best power-to-weight ratio in their class.

High lift capacity is claimed due to the use of new materials, which help boost structural strength. Sophisticated electronics help deliver precise operation as well as high operating speeds.

According to Effer, the advanced electronics used in the Progress control package maximise working efficiency.

At INTERMAT the machines are being exhibited by French Effer dealer Appydro.

There are five models in the 525 range, which weigh from 4.9-5.7tonnes. Maximum lifting capacity at maximum outreach ranges from 1.35-3.6tonnes, while maximum outreach varies from 12.5-21.7tonnes respectively.

Designed and developed in-house with electric components from the company’s electronics division, the Hybrid 220LC uses an electric motor for its slew functions, enabling a smaller engine to be fitted.“This combination means we can use a four-cylinder 98kW engine in the hybrid compared to a six-cylinder 118kW engine in the conventional R220LC-9,” explained Hyundai product engineer Joachim Van de Perre.
