The Spanish capital Madrid will host the 52nd ASECAP Days event in May this year - save with the early bird registration offer

Early bird registration is now open for the prestigious 52nd ASECAP Days event in the beautiful and exciting Spanish capital of Madrid from May 26-28.

Once again the prestigious event from ASECAP - the European Association of Operators of Toll Road Infrastructure - will feature the best and the brightest speakers within the European tolling sector, emparting their wealth of experience and knowledge to hundreds of delegates from across Europe and beyond.

ASECAP is a membership organisation whose member networks span more than 81,300km of motorways, bridges and tunnels across 17 countries. The organisation’s purpose is to defend and develop the system of motorways and road infrastructures in Europe applying tolls as a means to ensure the financing of their construction, maintenance and operation.

Discover the comprehensive schedule of ASECAP Days 2025 hosted by SEOPAN - Spain's Association of Construction and Concession Companies for Infrastructure - by clicking here for this impressive lineup of speakers. They will delve into the latest trends and challenges in transportation and infrastructure. The programme promises a blend of thought-provoking discussions and practical solutions.

The theme for the event is “Challenges of future mobility - the role of road infrastructure”. Several years ago, European motorway operators started a major shift towards greener mobility. However, more investment is needed to make a successful green transition. To face this challenge, toll road infrastructure operators propose to foster green projects, including the transformation of the infrastructure to host electric cars, buses and trucks as part of green mobility solutions for all road users.

The 52nd ASECAP Days will focus on how it would be possible to foster these safe and mobility solutions by stimulating investment aimed at reaching the European Union’s objectives of vision zero in terms of fatalities and vision zero in term of CO₂ emissions. Delegates will also hear panel discussions about sustainable financing scheme to support these transformations and developments without burdening public budgets.

Topics to be addressed will include:
- sustainable road financing schemes;
- innovation for the next generation of traffic management;
- digital twin-based maintenance and monitoring for road infrastructure;
- tolling system and CO₂ reduction for ‘Net Zero’ targets;
- road safety for reaching ‘zero’, what needs to be done and how;
- the latest in toll collection;
- cooperative, connected and automated mobility – CCAM;
- improvements in mobility data and platforms for enhanced services and cyber security;
- the impact of deployment of zero emission vehicles on road infrastructure.

Check out the event before April 2 and take advantage of the early bird registration fee. Delegates can also take advantage of special room rates at the NH Collection Madrid Eurobuilding where the conference will take place. The NH Collection Madrid Eurobuilding hotel is a stylish retreat in the city’s financial district. Over the years the building has housed everything from Madrid’s first Michelin-star restaurant to Microsoft’s headquarters. It re-opened on September 2014 when it unveiled an ultra-contemporary look.

Many companies – European and global – are already on board the event. Check out the ASECAP website for sponsorship and exhibition possibilities. At the moment, platinum sponsors include Nivi and gold sponsors include Hatko, Kapsch, Indra, Abertis, Egis, Aimsun, Continental, Rebloc, Vitronic and Verra Mobility. Meanwhile, silver sponsors include GEA and bronze sponsors include Versilis.

So keep the date open for meeting colleagues across Europe at the 52nd ASECAP Days event in Madrid from May 26-28.

ASECAP exchanges among its members information regarding the construction, maintenance and operation of toll infrastructure. ASECAP promotes and organises study meetings for its members on technical, administrative and financial issues aimed at the deployment of efficient traffic management, providing to the end-users a high-quality road service at an appropriate cost. For that purpose, it also collects technical and statistical data and participates in select projects.
