The European Asphalt Pavement Association (EAPA) has presented Siobhan McKelvey, director general of Eurobitume, with the EAPA Asphalt Advocate of the Year 2025 award.

The EAPA Asphalt Advocate Award is a prestigious award, granted since 2017. It recognises industry representatives who have demonstrated their initiatives in promoting asphalt roads and effectively communicating important industry topics. An Asphalt Advocate is someone who demonstrates a strong connection to the “Asphalt Advantages” campaign—an initiative by EAPA in collaboration with Eurobitume. Further details about the award and its winners are available on the EAPA website.

Siobhan McKelvey has worked closely with EAPA for many years, contributing to a strong and effective collaboration between the two organisations. Her involvement has been key in shaping joint initiatives like the “Asphalt Advantages” campaign, helping to communicate the benefits of bitumen and asphalt more clearly and consistently across Europe.
