695 Doosan unveiled a new Stage IIIB-compliant DX140W-3 wheeled excavator on the opening day of INTERMAT.

The 14-16tonne machine’s 101kW DL06K 6-cylinder common rail diesel engine is fitted with exhaust gas recirculation and a diesel particulate filter to meet the emissions regulations.

Productivity has been increased by an average of 5% while a new Lifting mode boosts lifting capacity by 15%. Hydraulic flow is 4% higher, increasing swing torque by an equal amount and bucket/arm forces by 7%.

An ECO Gauge, auto engine idle and an electronic clutch on the cooling fan contribute to the five to 10% improvement in fuel efficiency (in factory tests).

New suspension on the bigger, pressurised ROPS/OPG cab helps to cut vibration by 20% and reduce in-cab noise to as low as 70dB(A).

There are proportional thumb wheel switches and integrated buttons on the joysticks for attachment control and additional buttons enable the operator to change direction without removing his or her hands from the controls.

More glass and a 100% increase in working light illumination improve the operator’s view both day and night while a side camera is an option.
