Doosan launches lighting for Mid-East/Africa

Doosan Portable Power has launched a new 50Hz version of the company’s LSC (LightSource Compact) portable light tower for markets in the Middle East and Africa. 3771 Doosan Portable Power has launched a new 50Hz version of the company’s LSC (LightSource Compact) portable light tower for markets in the Middle East and Africa.

Also available as a 60Hz model, applications include lighting on road and bridge construction sites; general construction applications as well providing lighting for special events, emergency and disaster relief, oil and gas drilling and for mining and quarrying locations.

The light tower has a new power train based around the 1265 Kubota D1005 water-cooled diesel engine providing 8.5kW at 1,500rpm (1,800rpm for the 60Hz version) and meeting EPA Tier 4 final emission regulations.

    Doosan Portable Power (DPP) has won an order worth almost €2 million for portable compressors in Saudi Arabia. The compressors have been purchased by Jeddah-based rental business, EJAR, through TAMGO, the authorised dealer for Doosan compressors, lighting towers and construction tools in Saudi Arabia. The order is for 50 Doosan 9/235HA portable compressors each providing 23.4m³/min of compressed air at a rated operating pressure of 8.6bar.

    Ideal for quarry-based applications, the new Doosan 40-50 tonne DX420LC-5, DX490LC-5 and DX530LC-5 are the company’s largest Stage IV/Tier 4 Final compliant crawler excavators. The operating weights of the DX420LC-5 and DX490LC-5 have increased by 700kg and 500kg respectively compared to the previous LC-3 models. Lifting capacities have increased by an average of 5% on all three models, except for the DX530LC-5, where the lifting capacity over the side has also increased by 12%.
