In glorious spring sunshine, bauma 2016 opened its doors. Thousands of visitors poured into the show grounds at Messe Munchen International to see the latest innovations in construction equipment. Exhibitors from all over the world include Caterpillar, Hyundai, Wirtgen and Komatsu.

In glorious spring sunshine, bauma 2016 opened its doors. Thousands of visitors poured into the show grounds at Messe Munchen International to see the latest innovations in construction equipment.

Exhibitors from all over the world include Caterpillar, Hyundai, Wirtgen and Komatsu.

As well as a look at the newest products the industry has to offer, there were keynote speeches from several big names on the state of the sector. And there will be much more to see over the next five days.

    The bauma China 2014 event held in Shanghai from 25th-28th November set a series of records, most notably with its attendance hitting 191,000 visitors, an increase of 6% from the previous show in 2012.     A new partnership between the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and Messe München has seen the bauma Africa event renamed: BAUMA CONEXPO AFRICA. The event has new dates and will now be held from September 15th to 18th 2015, but will remain in the South African city Johannesburg.
