Doka chalks up sales revenue success

Globally renowned Austrian formwork company Doka has almost tripled its sales revenue in the last 12 years and is aiming for greater success in 2013, according to Group chairman Josef Kurzmann. Kurzmann said the firm recorded sales revenue of €853million in 2012, compared to €326million in 2000. Additionally, the percentage of non-European sales revenue accrued by Doka had increased from 6% in 2000 to 42% in 2012. Globally renowned Austrian formwork company 203 Doka has almost tripled its sales revenue in the last 12 years and is aiming for greater success in 2013, according to Group chairman Josef Kurzmann.

Kurzmann said the firm recorded sales revenue of €853million in 2012, compared to €326million in 2000.  

Additionally, the percentage of non-European sales revenue accrued by Doka had increased from 6% in 2000 to 42% in 2012.

To achieve further sales revenue growth, Kurzmann said Latin America, North America and India were Doka’s key markets.

Kurzmann said the company is seeking to achieve “very ambitious” sales revenue of €905million in 2013.

At the firm’s impressive cube-shaped 688 Bauma 2013 stand Doka unveiled, among other new formwork solutions, Doka CC (cut-and-cover). It is the company’s first system to be designed for cut-and-cover tunnel construction. With Doka CC, different types of traffic tunnel, such as rail or road tunnels, are claimed to be able to be built quickly, efficiently and safely.

Doka said it had used hi-tech construction materials and products, including the composite formwork beam 1 tec 20, to create the innovative tunnel solution.

Boasting a 6,000-strong workforce, Doka is exhibiting at bauma under the slogan: ‘Pathbreaking. Beyond solutions’.
