Design for Russian ring road

Design work is underway for the first section of the St Petersburg ring road in Russia, and work will be carried out from Gorskaya to Primorskoe in 2013 at a cost of some US$373million. The 24km road will be widened to six lanes and the road structure will be revamped with completion scheduled for 2015.

    Plans are underway to widen a stretch of the Western High-Speed Diameter (WHSD) around St Petersburg in Russia. The northern section of the WHSD, near Beloostrov, will be widened from four to six lanes. The work will be carried out by Northern Capital Highway (NCH), a consortium owned by VTB and Gazprombank.
