3936 Xylem company 711 Godwin Pumps has launched the Vac-Prime low-head pump to complement its Dri-Prime medium- to high-head range.

Xylem’s Godwin Vac-Prime has been specifically designed for lower-head dewatering applications. It can manage heads of 11m to 25m, flows of 100m3/hour to 374m3/hour and solids with sizes from 45mm to 75mm.

The pump is available in 4” and 6” (101mm and 152mm) versions.

It is seen as ideal for applications such as draining canals, dewatering open excavations and pumping bentonite or water containing solids. The Godwin Vac-Prime has also been designed for trouble-free dry-running, with no fear of seals overheating or cracking, according to the company.

Godwin said that the compact pump is easy to move, does not require specialist transport and needs only minimal on-site equipment for installation.RSS
