Danish PPP landmark move

Denmark is making a landmark move in the highway building sector by setting up its first public-private partnership (PPP) contract. The deal is for the construction and operation of a 26km highway linking Sønderborg and Kliplev and is worth €148 million. Denmark is making a landmark move in the highway building sector by setting up its first public-private partnership (PPP) contract.

The deal is for the construction and operation of a 26km highway linking
Sønderborg and Kliplev and is worth €148 million. The 26-year contract includes building the M51 and building seven junctions and 18km of secondary roads.

The 2352 Kliplev Motorway Group (KMG) consortium will build the link and is led by Vienna, Austria-based 945 Strabag, which will participate in the project through its German subsidiary Becker Bau Neustadt.
