Czech tender interest from international companies

The tender process for upgrade works on the D1 highway in the Czech Republic is attracting international bidding. The five sections of highway are worth €173.2 million in all, with investments of €59 million planned for 2012. Companies entering bids so far include Metrostav, Skanska, Strabag, Eurovia CS, Swietelsky Stavebni, OHL ZS, Dalnicni Stavby Praha. The tender process for upgrade works on the D1 highway in the Czech Republic is attracting international bidding.

The five sections of highway are worth €173.2 million in all, with investments of €59 million planned for 2012. Companies entering bids so far include Metrostav, 2296 Skanska, 945 Strabag, 3281 Eurovia CS, 7019 Swietelsky Stavebni, 980 OHL ZS, Dalnicni Stavby Praha. Bidders also include several consortia including one comprising M-Silnice, Bogl a Krysl and Berger Bohemia and one made up of 981 Hochtief CZ and Silnice Caslav. Also in the Czech Republic, 11 firms are bidding for the construction of two new stretches of the D3 highway stretches with a combined value of €105.76 million. Bidders include Metrostav, Skanska, Strabag, Eurovia CS, Swietelsky Stavebni. They also include a consortium comprising Berger Bohemia, SMP CZ, VHS and Bogl a Krysl and another consortium made up of Held&Francke CZ and Firesta-Fiser. Consortia headed by 184 Colas, 1332 Alpine Bau, Imos Brno and Hochtief are also bidding. Construction work is expected to commence in autumn 2012.
