Crawler crane hand-over is big deal at INTERMAT

INTERMAT was the venue for the official hand-over of one of the world’s first Kobelco CKE 2500G crawler cranes. Herman Smit, chief operating officer of crane giant Mammoet, came to the show on Friday to meet Kobeloc Crane’s president and chief executive officer Isao Aida for the handover of the 250tonne lattice boom machine. While he was at the show Smit confirmed orders for another 46 cranes of 180 tonnes and 250tonnes capacity.

RSSINTERMAT was the venue for the official hand-over of one of the world’s first 2200 Kobelco CKE 2500G crawler cranes.  

Herman Smit, chief operating officer of crane giant 5115 Mammoet, came to the show on Friday to meet Kobeloc Crane’s president and chief executive officer Isao Aida for the handover of the 250tonne lattice boom machine.

While he was at the show Smit confirmed orders for another 46 cranes of 180 tonne and 250tonne capacity.

    Mammoet, one of the world market leaders in the field of engineered heavy lifting and transport, has ordered 17 Kobelco cranes for its worldwide operations. Included in the deal are 15 cranes of the second generation CKE-/BME-G-series, equipped with the new engine in compliance with NRMM Europe Stage IV and US EPA Tier 4 Final regulations. These include three CKE1100-2 with 110tonne maximum lifting capacity; seven CKE1350G-2 (150tonne lifting capacity) and five CKE2500G-2 (250tonne lifting capacity).
