Thousands of attendees were due to descend on the Las Vegas Convention Center to see new and latest off-highway equipment and linked technology on the first day of the four-day event (14-18 March). More than 1800 exhibitors will be showcasing their products across 2.8 million ft² of indoor and outdoor exhibition space. Many visitors will also take part in over 175 educational sessions running throughout the showpiece event for the construction, quarrying, mining and recycling equipment industries.

“The addition of the new West Hall and Diamond Lot at the Las Vegas Convention Center gave us, and our exhibitors, a number of new opportunities to show how we are taking the construction industry to the next level,” said CONEXPO-CON/AGG show director Dana Wuesthoff.

The 2023 show will be nearly 5% bigger than the record set in 2020. Despite being the largest CONEXPO-CON/AGG ever, recent additions to the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) will make it the easiest to get around as well. Beneath the entire LVCC campus runs the Convention Center Loop, an underground transportation system designed by Elon Musk’s The Boring Company that transports convention attendees throughout the campus in under two minutes in Tesla vehicles, free of charge.

Among leading quarrying equipment and linked technology manufacturers with new and latest plant displays and demonstrations at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2023 will be Metso Outotec, Terex Materials Processing business division brands Powerscreen, Finlay, EvoQuip, Terex Washing Systems, Terex Materials Processing Systems (Terex MPS), CDE, Kleemann, Keestrack, Astec, McLanahan, Rubble Master, Cummins, Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Penta, Hitachi Construction Machinery, LiuGong, Doosan (Develon), and Hyundai.

Among many key themes highlighted over the four-day event will be off-highway equipment sustainability, alternative power supply, including electric and hydrogen-powered units, plant digitalisation and automation, the drive towards ever greater machine productivity and efficiency, and how smarter equipment, including models using AI (artificial intelligence), is helping to future-proof the global construction, quarrying, mining, and recycling industries.
