The organisers of the 3485 Conexpo event are offering a comprehensive education programme at the exhibition, as well as at its partner IFPE 2014 event. This is intended to help attendees sharpen their professional skills and improve their business efficiency and productivity. Industry experts will be on hand to share the latest operational techniques and management strategies, with sessions offered at varying times throughout the shows for attendees to maximise their time onsite.

For Conexpo there are 120 sessions across 10 tracks to target a range of attendee interests. These include equipment management and maintenance, safety and regulations, recycling and preservation, earthmoving and site development, business management best practices, and workforce development. They also include aggregates, asphalt, concrete, and cranes and rigging. A new education ticket Plan allows attendees flexibility to choose sessions onsite. Allied industry groups will also offer training and certification programs in conjunction with the show.

Meanwhile the IFPE 2014 education programme provides both application-based and research-driven sessions, targeted to several levels of expertise and interest, with the latest information crucial for engineers and others involved in the design and manufacturing processes. The IFPE Technical Conference features research developments in the fluid power industry. The emphasis is on new technologies and methods related to improved analysis, design, manufacture and performance of fluid power components and systems for mobile and industrial markets. Special keynote presentations are included. One registration allows access to more than 80 presentations and the keynotes and includes a flash drive with conference Proceedings. Certificates for PDH or CEUs are available.

IFPE College-Level Courses are half-day sessions focused on hands-on technical knowledge on fluid power and hydraulics, with four to be offered: overview of fluid power systems, sizing a hydrostatic transmission using calculations, condition monitoring of hydraulic fluids, and design of hybrid systems. Receive discounted pricing when taking more than one course. A new Fluid Power Seminar Series is free to attendees and will present practical information to help them better understand the operation of hydraulic and pneumatic components, circuits, and systems. Eight sessions will be offered, including best practices in mobile hydraulic maintenance, reducing leakage and its environment impact, contamination management in hydraulic systems, electronic control of mobile hydraulics, and troubleshooting excavators, loader backhoes and aerial lifts.
