Kramer Allrad 650 wheel-loader is the firm’s compact yet ‘big’ construction machine
It might be compact, but the recently launched 4849 Kramer Allrad 650 wheel-loader does not shirk from weighty construction matters.

One of two Kramer machines for the 0.6m³ class, the 650 has an all-wheel steering mechanism which reduces materials handling time. The 650’s non-articulated chassis is said by Kramer to ensure high stability due to the constant centre of gravity. It also has traction drive.

Like its smaller brother the 550, the 650 has a parallel telescopic arm for maximum reach, enabling loads such as pallets to be moved in and out from the second row. An optional stabiliser also increases safety and comfort, while simultaneously protecting the machine.

Karl Friedrich Hauri, chief executive of Kramer Allrad based in Pfullendorf, Germany, said the initial response from customers to the 550 and 650 wheel-loaders has been very good.

“We are really proud of our development department and the new Kramer 550 and 650 which meet the exact requirements of so many users and allows them to buy into the Kramer system for the first time.”

GKD Technik will be showing its PWS (Proximity Warning System) for the first time at Intermat 2012. Designed to protect site workers from being injured by mobile site machinery, the PWS system uses radio technology to detect the position of pedestrians and warn the machinery operator of the hazard. Each time a worker comes to close to a machine a log is generated and, using optional telemetry, the contractor can monitor site safety. Anti-collision facilities ensure that all mobile machines can detect the ha
  • INTERMAT launch for Ammann compaction measurement
    January 6, 2017
Ammann has introduced the ACEeco compaction measuring system for its five model AVH hydraulic plate range. As an extra cost option, the system uses a compaction display that indicates the compaction progress using an LED scale. The system also displays the maximum compaction level achievable and this, said Ammann, will help operators to avoid making unnecessary passes and over-compaction. Available for AVH5020, 5030, 6020, 6030 and 100-20 models, which have operating weights from 530–555kg and working width

    January 6, 2017
Volvo’s two compact hydrostatic wheeled loaders, the nine and 10 tonne L45 and L50, have been upgraded to G-series specification. It means the compact loaders get a transversely-mounted, four-cylinder D4H engine that gives 74-86kW, and drives a twin-range hydrostatic transmission with 100% locking differentials on both axles.
