Comap showcases the breadth of its bitumen equipment range

Italy’s 1137 COMAP was pleased with the visitor response at this year’s 688 Bauma, after making its show debut in 2010 when people’s travel plans were hit by the aftermath of the Icelandic volcano eruption.

Staff said visitors from every part of the world had been showing interest in the company’s plant for production, storage, heating, spraying and transport of bituminous products.

In particular, Comap was highlighting new, fully automated emulsion and modified bitumen plants, designed to carry out all operations at the touch of a single button.

This model features an SB300HD fixed screed that features special wear plating in key areas and can be used for placing roadbase or cement-treated base, laying up to 700tonnes/hour. The chassis is slightly longer than the standard model Super 1800-2 model and its hopper is modified with a lower feed height to allow loading by the wide range of trucks used in China.
