The Unic URW-1006 mini spider crane is said to have an unrivalled 10tonnes of lifting power as well as 30.7metres lifting height and 24.3metre working radius. According to UCE, the machine’s 2metre width allows it to retain class-beating minimal dimensions for working in restricted spaces.
“We think that this online clip will really whet people’s appetites before we reveal the URW-1006 at Intermat Paris,” says Graeme Riley, chief executive of UCE.

“We wanted to create some buzz around our new model in the run up to the exhibition by showcasing Unic’s technical expertise and innovative design in this video. Now we have the world’s smallest and largest mini spider cranes in the Unic range, we can bring efficient and safe lifting solutions to an even wider breadth of industries.”

An optional fully luffing fly jib on the Unic URW-1006 can be adjusted and set during operation to achieve what UCE describes as maximum reach for higher level lifting work when fitted to the six-section hydraulically telescoping boom.

Featuring 4tonnes more lifting power than the Unic URW-706 crane, the Unic URW-1006 is said by UCE to be ideal for glass installation and steel erection work where heavy-duty loads need to reach higher working spaces. Unlike other Unic spider cranes, the Unic URW-1006 also has an innovative pick and carry function which enables it to travel with loads up to 1.5tonnes.

Configurable outriggers on the Unic URW-1006 is said to give it more stability when lifting on uneven surfaces thanks to a full safety interlocking system installed onto the machine. The Unic URW-1006 is also said by UCE to be one of the first cranes in the UK to be fitted with a state-of-the-art Wylie i4500 safe load indicator. The facility gives operator feedback on a high-resolution colour LCD screen to improve lift safety.
