Chinese city Yichang is seeing new transport connectivity

Port connections and infrastructure will be improved in the Chinese city of Yichang, following completion of a series of projects now underway. The work is costing US$331 million and includes building six new roads and four new ports. The key road projects include the Houhe-Jietou tourist route and the Yafan-Baiyang road.     The tender process is being planned for the Myanmar-Korea Friendship Bridge, which will connect Myanmar’s commercial centre Yangon to Dala Township. Over $137 million in loans have been pledged by the Korean Economic Development Cooperation Fund to develop the 1.87km long suspension bridge.
