The CEA is to go on a UKTI awarded Trade Mission to Saudi Arabia
The 3418 Construction Equipment Association (CEA) has been awarded a key Saudi Arabia Trade Mission by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) to enhance Saudi construction and mining equipment supply chains with UK manufacturers.

The Trade Mission will also focus on opportunities to develop skills, training and education in the construction and mining sectors in Saudi Arabia.

Also working on behalf of the British Embassy and Consulates in Saudi Arabia, the CEA trade mission between 16th and 20th March 2013 includes a top-level meeting with Saudi mining giants Ma’aden, a company in on-going discussions with UKTI to enhance its supply chain with UK manufacturers. Further meetings are being planned with major contractors and construction companies including 2800 Saudi Binladin Group  and 4138 Bechtel.

Joanna Oliver, CEA’s director of Global Programmes and Trade Mission organiser said: “As the mission covers both the mining and construction equipment sectors, as well as education and training, demand for mission places are likely to be high.”

Oliver added: “The meetings will take place in Jeddah and Al Khobar, which is in the Eastern Province. If you are interested please do let me know as soon as possible to reserve your place.”

The CEA says it will offer assistance with obtaining a visa, which can be time consuming so early booking for this trade mission is said to be essential.

“It is permissible for your local representative from Saudi or the Gulf region to attend in lieu of a representative from the UK provided that they only promote the UK manufacturer during the mission.” said Oliver.
