CCEA backs India road projects worth US$850.75mn in Assam, Madhya Pradesh

India's Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved four road projects worth a combined US$850.75 million (INR 46.20bn) in Assam and Madhya Pradesh. The projects involve the widening of stretches of National Highways 37 (NH 37) under the Special Accelerated Road Development Programme for India’s North Eastern Region (SARDP-NE).

The projects involve the widening of stretches of National Highways 37 (NH 37) under the Special Accelerated Road Development Programme for India’s North Eastern Region (SARDP-NE).

    Major road widening projects for Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand have been awarded by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Local construction company PNC Infratech will widen key routes in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. One of the projects will be to widen a 102km stretch of the Nagina-Kashipur section of NH-74 00 to four lanes. The contract is worth some US$174.2 million.
