The display includes the new AP255E, which is the smallest paver in the range, and the new AP1055E, the largest paver in the Cat range.

The AP1055E asphalt paver is built on the proven platform of the AP1055D, and according to 178 Caterpillar it offers cleaner power, fuel efficiency and high performance in a mobile and versatile platform.

With a maximum operating weight of 20,211kg, it is powered by a powerful Cat C7.1 or C6.6 engine with ACERT Technology, which utilises a series of Caterpillar engineered innovations that provide advanced electronic control, precise fuel delivery and refined air management.
It has a standard paving width of 3.05-5.94m.

Other features include dual operating stations with the Advisor Monitoring System (AMS), tilting consoles, exclusive Mobil-trac undercarriage or wheel undercarriage system, high ambient temperature cooling system, 25 or 35kW generator, and a special material handling system with independent auger and conveyor controls.

With a single operator, the compact AP255E meets all requirements for small and medium sized jobsites in urban centres such as pathways, cycle paths, playgrounds, trench back filling and all maintenance and repair work.

“This paver is designed to operate in limited spaces, thanks to its compactness and exceptional manoeuvrability,” says Caterpillar.

The AP255E, powered by a Cat C2.2 engine, weighs 4,500kg and has a standard paving width of 1.4-2.6m.

Its AS3143 electric screed is powered by an onboard generator with independent temperature control in all four sections. Three heating elements for each screed section ensure uniform heating over the entire screed plate.
