An invitation has been issued for a stakeholder workshop, organised by the Satie project which will be held on 26 April, after this year’s Transport Research Arena in Athens (www.traconference.eu).
The purpose of the workshop is for participants to help explore options to design, develop and deploy a major new Europe-wide initiative for sustainable, intelligent mobility.

The Satie project (www.satie.eu/), co-funded by the 2465 European Commission through the 7th Framework Programme for Research, is creating and validating a concept for a European Large-Scale Action (ELSA) to stimulate innovation and its take-up in the domain of information and communication technologies (ICT) for transport and mobility. Such an ELSA would aim to create a new kind of partnership between authorities, industry, SMEs and research. That partnership would be able to channel much of the dispersed effort, funding and impact of today’s European and national R&D projects into one single goal-driven initiative linking test-beds and innovation incubators from across Europe.
