Bullish bauma China 2014 boomed with record results

The bauma China 2014 event held in Shanghai from 25th-28th November set a series of records, most notably with its attendance hitting 191,000 visitors, an increase of 6% from the previous show in 2012. The 5930 bauma China 2014 event held in Shanghai from 25th-28th November set a series of records, most notably with its attendance hitting 191,000 visitors, an increase of 6% from the previous show in 2012. The show had a very strong international presence with visitors from 149 countries, as well as a strong showing in respect to international buyers, up some 12% from 2012. Meanwhile there were 3,104 exhibitors from 41 countries, an increase of 14%. The four day bauma China 2014 event was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). This was the 7th International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Construction Vehicles and Equipment at this site. After China, the top 10 visitor countries and regions were in order: Russia, Korea, Japan, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

The exhibition occupied all of the exhibition space, a total of 300,000m2, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Taking part in bauma China 2014 were 2,097 Chinese exhibitors. Exhibitors from outside China also featured strongly at the show, and interest in their innovations and advanced technologies was high. This year there was a further rise in the number of international exhibitors. After China, the top five exhibitor countries were Germany, USA, Italy, Korea and Japan. bauma China also featured nine national pavilions, from Austria, Finland, Germany, Italy, Korea, Spain, Turkey, UK and the USA. The next bauma China takes place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from November 22nd -25th 2016.
