Greek contractor Aktor is currently preferred bidder for construction of Bulgaria’s new Trakia highway. This road will link Nova Zagora and Yambol and the plan calls for the highway to be complete within a 25-month period. Apart from Aktor, bids were also submitted by ten companies.

    A district court in the Polish town of Olsztyn has ruled in favour of a consortium of Budimex and Ferrovial Agroman which challenged the awarding of a ringroad contract to a rival.   • Road paving plan proposed for Mozambique

    An ambitious road improvement scheme has been proposed by the Mozambique Government. The programme of works calls for the paving of 2,100km of roads by 2019.
