Budimir-Bidovce section of Slovakia D1 motorway link could begin in 2014

The construction of the 14.4km D1 motorway stretch between Budimir - Bidovce near Kosice in eastern Slovakia could begin in 2014 or 2015. Building works for the Budimir-Bidovce D1 route should take three years, followed by the construction of another stretch of the D1 from Bidovce up to the Ukrainian border. The latter works are estimated for completion sometime after 2020. The construction of the 14.4km D1 motorway stretch between Budimir - Bidovce near Kosice in eastern Slovakia could begin in 2014 or 2015.

Building works for the Budimir-Bidovce D1 route should take three years, followed by the construction of another stretch of the D1 from Bidovce up to the Ukrainian border. The latter works are estimated for completion sometime after 2020.

Meanwhile, the construction of the 13km D1 stretch linking Bidovce - Dargov and the 18.7km stretch Dargov - Pozdisovce should start in 2015, while the construction of the Michalovce conduit and the stretch from Pozdisovce to the Ukrainian border should start in 2017.
