Bosnia project moves forward

Plans for work to a 150km section of the Corridor Vc highway in Bosnia will commence in 2012. Construction of 45km of the highway will be financed by the Government of Federal Bosnia, while the remaining 110km is due to be financed by foreign investors. The cost of the project has not been revealed at this stage. The plans were announced by Bosnia’s Ministry of Urban Planning.

    Major highway projects are seeing progress in India. The US$1.52 billion Zojila Pass tunnel project is being planned in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The project has been awarded to local road development firm IRB Infrastructure Developers (IRB). The 14.08km tunnel is expected to take seven years to complete.     Plans are in hand in Mongolia’s capital Ulaanbaatar for a series of road and bridge projects that will improve the city’s connectivity with the rest of the country.     Pakistan’s infrastructure and economic development agency the Central Development Working Party approved six projects worth US$865 million, including the China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) Raikot section Phase-1.
