Bosnia project moves forward

Plans for work to a 150km section of the Corridor Vc highway in Bosnia will commence in 2012. Construction of 45km of the highway will be financed by the Government of Federal Bosnia, while the remaining 110km is due to be financed by foreign investors. The cost of the project has not been revealed at this stage. The plans were announced by Bosnia’s Ministry of Urban Planning.

    Funding from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will help with the construction of a new tunnel as well as road links in Nepal. The US$168.56 million funding package comes in the shape of a loan to Nepal’s Government. This will be used to pay for the construction of a 2.5km tunnel that will link Nagdhunga with Naubise.     Vietnam is planning to construct a new expressway in Hoa Binh and Son La provinces in the north of the country. The project is expected to cost US$2.21 billion and will be carried out in two stages under the PPP model. The route runs of 189.5km, with an 85.4km stretch from Hoa Binh to Moc Chau due for completion in 2020. A further 104.1km section will be built later.
