Bosnia highway bidding process open

Bids are now being offered for a major highway project in Bonsia. This follows the opening of the tender process for the project by Bosnian highway company Autoputevi Republike Srpske (ARS). The project is located in the autonomous entity Republika Srpska and is for construction of the Doboj-Vukosavlje highway. Bids are now being offered for a major highway project in Bonsia. This follows the opening of the tender process for the project by Bosnian highway company 1552 Autoputevi Republike Srpske (ARS). The project is located in the autonomous entity Republika Srpska and is for construction of the Doboj-Vukosavlje highway. The project will be carried out under the public and private partnership model and will form part of the European Corridor Vc. The package includes financing, construction, management and maintenance of a total of 46.6km of the new highway. The project will be carried out in two phases. Bidders will be required to submit a guarantee of €500,000 while the tender will be open until 12 October 2012. The total project value is estimated from €260-350 million.

  • Serbia reduces cost of highway construction

    Serbia has managed to reduce the cost of building the Corridor 10 highway by €80 million. These funds will instead be used to pay for upgrades and improvements needed for the second section of the highway project, close to Neradovci. So far some 180km of the Corridor 10 highway has been built over a 40 month time frame. A further 150km of the highway has still to be built. Work on the Corridor 10 motorway is also being financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the state budget.
