Bolivian road expansion

Bolivia's road network is to benefit from loans provided by the Andean Development Corporation (CAF).

Bolivia's road network is to benefit from loans provided by the Andean Development Corporation (CAF). The funding will help pay for construction of the Uyuni-Huancarani road in Potosi department and the Huancarani-Cruce Condo K road in Oruro. The roads total 167km and the loans are worth a total of US$104.3 million. The project will be carried out by Bolivian road management firm 3542 Administradora Boliviana de Carreteras (ABC).

The Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) is in discussions with officials in the country over the loans package, worth a total of US$200 million. The funding would be used for six PPP road projects. Other financing worth $900 million is also being secured for the six road projects, with some of the construction work already underway.
