Bobcat Limited Edition E16 1.6 tonne compact excavator live at INTERMAT 2012
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 1130 Bobcat compact excavator range, a new Limited Edition version of the Bobcat E16 1.6 tonne compact excavator is being unveiled at INTERMAT 2012.

The Limited Edition E16 model is said by Bobcat to be available as standard with a retractable undercarriage, while also offering powerful performance, superior reliability and durability. The machine’s smooth responsive hydraulics are said to enable precise movements and fast cycle times.

Due to its compact size and light weight, Bobcat says the E16 can be transported on a trailer towed by a small truck, van or even a mid-size passenger car.

The E16 has a ‘cylinder-over-boom’ design in which the cylinder, being mounted on top of the boom, is protected when working in tight spaces or with attachments. The oversized diameter of the cylinder is said to increase the breakout force and lifting capacity of the machine. The auxiliary hydraulic lines and workgroup hoses are also said to be mounted inside the boom and arm for optimal protection and enhanced visibility.

High digging performance is also said to be enhanced by the stability provided by the dozer blade and the low centre of gravity of the machine.

The E16 offers Llow noise and vibration levels, superior operator comfort, ease of serviceability and ruggedness are also said by Bobcat to be attractive features of the limited edition E16.  The spacious cab is also said to offers a large door width which, together with the low position of the superstructure, provides easy access to the cab.

A thick metal tailgate protects the rear of the excavator, said by Bobcat to be an important feature for demanding applications in the equipment rental, demolition and construction sector industries.
