Bids welcomed for Chile Route D 43 road concession

The Ministry of Public Works of Chile has opened the bids for the near US $ 227 million (CLP 109.39bn) Route D 43 road concession in Chile. Sacyr Concesiones are reported to have submitted the best offer. The road concession goes between La Serena and Ovalle.

    The Chilean authorities have had to re-launch the tender process for the 187km La Serena – Vallenar highway project. A consortium, Azvi-Copasa, originally won the tender for the project in 2010 but struggled to find the necessary financing.
